In 2007, when he was the Editor-in-Chief of Kotaku, the outlet published a later-confirmed rumor about then-upcoming Playstation Home. Kotaku was “blackballed” by Sony as retaliation, and, after Crecente published an article about it, the issue being resolved amicably on the same day.
